Calling all singers! This interfaith workshop for community singers will focus on achieving your best technique in a choral environment. Singers will participate in targeted warm-ups, sectionals with the singers of Quadrivium, and group rehearsals with our guest conductor, Maestro Thomas Heuser. The workshop culminates in a performance of Ola Gjeilo's breathtaking piece for choir and strings, The Ground, as part of Quadrivium's Sunday evening concert.
Quadrivium's second season kicks off with Hosanna!, a concert celebrating the power of the heavenly spirit. Selections include William Byrd's elegant Mass for Five Voices and motets by Rheinberger, Barber, Mathias, Rubbra, and Bortniansky. Participants in the Hosanna! Choral Workshop will join Quadrivium and guest conductor Thomas Heuser for the finale, Ola Gjeilo's moving hymn, The Ground.

Join Quadrivium on a journey through Orazio Vecchi's L'amfiparnaso, a comedy about young lovers told through a series of beautiful, funny, and even raucous madrigals. Durango actors and Vecchi's timeless music will bring the texts of this 1594 work to life. Presented as part of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango Recital Series with support from the Fort Lewis College Foundation. Admission is $20 for adults and $8 for students and children.
